The Battle of the Labyrinth, by Rick Riordan

battle of the labyrinthReview by Sheel Pant

Why didn’t I read this book when they came out? No clue. I just know that I loved the Percy Jackson series, especially this book and Rick Riordan writes the most unique and one-of-a-kind books. In beginning of summer, an outraged Percy is prepping for his high school orientation as a¬† Freshman, but when he reaches there, events unfold unexpectedly which he never imagined. When a mortal, an acquaintance from his past tells Percy this secret about the reality of cheerleaders¬† that they are some demons then things don’t turn out to be picture perfect. It gets dangerous. Percy manages the situation well and escapes to his camp.
As the series nears its end, the once safe haven camp Half-Blood grows more and more vulnerable. To end the assault on camp, Percy and his allies must go on a quest to the Labyrinth, a maze where there are traps and trickery at every turn.
The book has an excellent depiction of the Greek myths. This is why I give thin book 4 and 3/4 star rating!
